Yetman Trail

1–2 minutes

Yetman Trail is an easy-moderate hike depending on how far you go. We got a late start, so we only hiked to the saddle and then turned back around. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful hike with great desert and mountain  views.
The trail also takes you through/past the Bowen Stone House which apparently is just an old ranch house. It provides for some great pictures though!

Now is the time to get out there and hike as all of the cacti are flowering and bringing beautiful specks of color to our typically dry, brown landscape.

These little white buds were soft to the touch – very unlike what I’m used to seeing in the desert!

  1. Looks like a beautiful hike. I especially was drawn to the pictures of the house. Did you feel the walls speak to you and wonder about the people who lived in such an isolated area? Curious about the people who would choose to live in such an area…the how’s, why’s are endless in my head.
